| Several teams manage business recognition highlights which are specific initiatives strategically designed to retain and bring focus to successful businesses in the Economic Alliance region. One key initiative is implemented annually. For more than a decade Businesses of the Year have been highlighted as best practices at an annual membership gala. 2006 will be no exception. These outstanding businesses are selected by each member communities' chamber of commerce and submitted to the Economic Alliance to be featured as Business Excellence at this gala.
