This task force was formed to identify and nurture trade development opportunities for our area’s small businesses, while building international marketing awareness. 

The group targeted the emerging coffee trade and quickly seized upon a tremendous idea to organize and host Harris County's first Coffee and Cocoa Symposium in 2005. 

The event offered educational seminars, networking opportunities, and access to industry’s foremost experts.  Attendees included coffee houses roasters; retailers and distributors; importers and exporters; and international traders.  Well-attended, the symposium featured nationally acclaimed speakers.
