| Sheldon is one of the incorporated cities located in the region collectively known as the North Channel area and is located along Highway 90 between the San Jacinto River, which is its east boundary, and Greens Bayou, its west boundary. Sheldon, established in the 1860”s is named for a railroad stockholder, Henry K. Sheldon of New York.  |
